Do I need a subscription?

No. Every device comes with recording hours included each month, and Brieflee itself has a free plan. Record more than the included hours and the rest comes out of the credits your account already buys, at one credit an hour.

Does it work with my phone?

It attaches straight to an iPhone that supports MagSafe, and to Android with the magnetic ring in the box. It works through most cases. It does not use any call-recording feature of the phone, so there is nothing to unlock or switch on.

Where do you ship, and what does it cost?

Worldwide, by courier, from the UAE, where shipping is free. Everywhere else the checkout shows the options for your country with their prices and delivery times: where we offer it, you can have us pay the import duty with your order so there is nothing to pay at the door; otherwise the courier collects any duty on delivery.

What about returns and warranty?

Ask for a return within 5 days of delivery (14 days in the EU and the UK) and we will send a return number and an address. Anything that arrives damaged, faulty or wrong, tell us within 15 days and we put it right at our cost. The warranty is one year from delivery. The full terms are on our terms of sale page, and they never reduce a statutory right you have where you live.

Who can see my recordings?

They go to your own Brieflee workspace, under the same terms as your meetings. The ring is lit while it records and there is no hidden mode: this is not built for recording people who do not know.

Phone calls

A phone call is the one conversation no recorder has been able to reach, because the other person's voice is inside somebody else's handset. Brieflee One does not ask the phone for it. A contact and vibration sensor takes the far side through the body of the handset, and two microphones take you. Your phone's own call recording is never used, and the device is never a party to the call.

Nothing is installed on the call.

No dial-in, no three-way, no carrier feature, no app in the call path. The device hears the handset the way your ear does.

Telling people is still your job.

Recording a conversation is regulated in many places. The ring of light is there to make the disclosure easy; it does not make it for you.

Most of what a working day settles is settled somewhere a calendar never reached: a corridor, a car park, the ten minutes after everyone else has left. Press the button and it records. There is no invitation to send, no link to join and nothing for anyone else to install. The thought you have walking back to the car is a voice note.
